FOXTON v. LEVIN.
The first Cup match between these Clubs took place at Levin on Saturday last, the Foxton team going over in Mr Barham's drag. The result was a win for the Levin Club by 19 points to nil, the winners showing much combination* ia their play. The forwards did most of the work, and there was very little back play. The Foxton men played well considering this being their first match, and having to meet such opponents. The team speak in the highest praise of the play of the Levin men, the game being played in best of spirits. The visitors were also entertained by the Club at tea at the Levin Hotel before leaving for home. Mr Mcßain acted as referee for this match, giving every satisfaction.
The following will represent the Fox* ton Football Club against Motuiti on the racecourse on Thursday (Queen's Birthday) :— Full, E. Reade; threequarters, Drummond, Hughes, Ball; five-eighth, Hunter; half, Smith; wings, O'Dwyer and Sullivan; forwards, Kennedy, Desmond, Dunn, Ward, Brown, Munro, Proctor.
