Justices Court.

(Before Messrs Thynne and Fraser, J.s P. ' THIS DAY.

Charles King, charged with inciting a prisoner to resist the police, pleaded not guilty, and after a hearing the charge was dismissed.

The Police charged William Mackie with assaulting W. E. Hadifen, and also with assaulting Charles J. Furlong. The accused was found guilty and fined 40s in each case, with 15s costs. - v C. I. Furlong was charged with assaulting W. "Mackie, and was found guilty and, fined 20s, and costs ss. Furlong was bound over to keep the peace. - W. E. Hadifen was charged by W. Mackie with assault, and was found guilty and fined aos, and costs ss.
