Ten thousand horses are expected at the Cape daring the week. Two thousand horses have just arrived. Ten thousand horses were lost during the advance to Btyemfontein. Soft nosed and split-rippled bullets were used by the enemy at Boshof . The prisoners are mostly Frenchmen, Germans, and Hollanders. We have received from the Government the following telegrams : — Major Robin telegraphs to the Commander of the forces that seventeen of our men and the baggage guard, captured during Saturday's fight, are well. The rest are in camp. The men are unhurt, but ten horses were killed. Major Craddook telegraphs the Premier from Kenhatd, 7th April, as follows :— " All well. The New Zealand patrol was the first to arrive here. Am forwarding the rebel flag. Had much marching and no fighting, but expect to join Lord Roberts shortly.
