Foxton Athletic Football Club.

A meeting of the above was held at Hunter's Hotel last night at 8 o'olook. A large number were present, and Mr W. Williams occupied the chair. It was proposed by Mr Walter, seconded by^ Mr Harper, That the Club join the Horowhenua Union. An amendment proposed by Mr E. Hunter, seconded by Mr Hiokson, That the Club join the Manawatu Union, was lost.Proposed by Mr Blanche, seconded by Mr S. Burr, That the election of delegates stand over until next meeting. Carried. Messrs L. Furrie and S. Burr were elected auditors. Mr Hiokson kindly offered to present the Club with a football, which offer was appreciated and accepted with thanks. Proposed by Mr Blanche, seconded by Mr Burr, That the colours (blue and black) stand over *until next meeting, and the seoretary be advised to write to the Horowhenua Union concerning colours. Carried. It was decided that the Management Committee should meet and inspect the ground. Messrs Furrie and Burr consented to arrange about goal posts. It was resolved that the season be opened on Saturday, 14th April. Resolved, That the next meeting be held on Wednesday next at Stansell's Hotel at 8 p.m., and that the same be advertised. Votes of thanks to Mr Hunter and the chairman concluded the meeting.
