Wanganui Education Board.
The regular meeting of the above was held on Monday evening. Present — Messrs Bridge (chairman), Spurdle, Lethbridge and Pirani. Apologies were received from and leave of absence granted to Messrs Bobbins, Baker and Boss (the food two on account of illhealth). *• Fraser Boad.— Miss M. K. Sisley's resignation accepted. Foxton. — The request for repairs referred to the Building Committee with power to act. Swimming. — On Mr Pirani's motion, it was decided to apply to the Auckland Swimming Association for £20 of the Government grant for teaching swimming in primary schools. Election of Members. The following was the result of the election of members to fill the vacancies caused by the retirement of Messrs Bridge, Baker and Adams : — Elected. W. Corry 71 G. S. Bridge 62 B. A.Adams 54 Not Elected. L. Cohen 49 J. W. Baker 47 A. E. Remington 28 Bey. W. Woollass 16
