Patriotic Concert.

We WOUld remind our readers Of the Patriotic Concert that takes place at the Public Hall to-night, and not on Wednesday as previously announced, the performers, at the request of the Rev H S Leach, having decided to have the Concert before Ash Wednesday. The singing of Miss Collins and Miss Mills is sure to prove a most attractive teature, while Messrs E. Reade and Norman Flyger are wellknown vocalists, though strangers to Foxton; the trio, of mandolins and banjo, by Messrs Ferris, Porter, and Chalk is a very taking item, while the clog dance and sand jig of Messrs Ferris and Garbes are turns that will appeal to a large portion of the audience. We hope to report a great response to "The Absent-minded Beggar "by Mr Stuart Ennis. Mr S. Gardner, as harmonica soloist, has no equal in the colony, which is saying a good deal. The Messrs Mackie Bros. and Drammond are supplying the comic element, assisted by Mr F. K. Young. Though we have not enumerated all the items we feel sure we have mentioned sufficient to show that a big programme awaits those who intend going and who will also have the satisfaction of knowing that they are contributing to the Mayor's ♦•Patriotic Fund." His Worship the Mayor undertakes the sale of tickets and management of the first part of the house, which we hope to see crowded to the door.
