Foxton Borough Council.

The usual monthly meeting of the above was held last night at 7.30 o'clock. Present— Crs F. E. Jenks, W. Purcell, C. Austin, H. Aldridge, H. Baker and B. Spelman. The Mayor sent an apology for his absence from the meeting, and Cr Jenks was voted to the chair. The inward correspondence wat read. Proposed by Cr Purcell, seconded by Cr Austin, That the Council take the necessary steps to sell the piece ot waste land on No. 1 Line to. Mr A. S. Easton. Carried. Proposed by Cr Purcell, seconded by Cr Austin, That permission b . granted to Mr Gall to erect cart bridg - into his section. Carried. Proposed by Cr Baker, seconded by Cr Aldridge, That a by-law be passed restricting the wiltul distribution o. fruit infected with codlin moth. No person to be allowed to move from their premises any fruit known to b^ infected with moth, but must use immediate steps to destroy such fruit It to be unlawful for any person know ingly or wilfully to offer for sale or gif any fruit affected with codlin moth.
