Stock Market.
Messrs Freeman R. Jackson & Co., in conjunction with Messrs Abraham & Williams, report on their Johnsonville stock sale as follows :— Cattle in average numbers. The demand was somewhat sluggish owing to a portion of the trade having purchased outside during the week. Prime ox beef, handy weights, made 16s the 1001 b, with an occasional pen up to 17s. Large framish oxen were at 15s, prices ranging from £6 03 to £8 ss. A few cows made £8 15a to £4 15s. Sheep, in small numbers, proved adequate to Hhe demand. No wethers were yarded. Fat ewes made 9s Id to 9s lOd; secondary sorts, 8s 6d. A few lambs of fair quality made 9s 6d ; others, 9s 2d.
