Sale of Privileges.
On Saturday Messrs Liffiton and Nixon will offer the privileges of the Foxton Racing Club's Summer Meeting for sale by public auction. This event is one that yearly becomes more popular and the Stewards have endeavoured to make the meeting still more popular, as , the starting machine will be used for all the short races, and the dates have been so arranged, (Saturday 20th, and Monday ,22nd) that the Wellington meeting will be of rather an advantage than otherwise. On Saturday there are seven events and on Monday there are eight races. The list of nominations this year show over forty more than have ever been received, so that the idea that has been abroad that this meeting will be a record one for the club, bids fair to be realised. Purchasers of privileges will see for themselves whether the prospect is not as we represent it.
