An Awful Crime.
FOUR PEOPLE KILLED.
Another fearful tragedy has occurred in Queensland, the thirc within one week.
From St. George, a town 38C miles south-west of Brisbane, on the Baionne river, word has been received that a Mrs Goward and hei son, aged 17 years, were founr' murdered in their beds, both having been shot through the head.
In a paddock adjoining the house the body of Miss Goward was found alongside that of her lover, a man named Snow. Both were dead, their throats having been cut. It has been ascertained that Snow was the perpetrator of the shocking affair, having murdered the mother , daughter and son, and then committed suicide. A boy saw Snow before he died. The latter administered strychnine to the girl himself, but the former was in great pain, and asked him- to cut her throat, which he did. Ho then cut his own, telling the boy to take the linife to a selector. j
