Buggy Accident.

Yesterday what might have resulted in a serious accident was happily averted in time. A party of ladies were returning home in a buggy when by some means the reins became entangled in the horse's tail, and the driver lost control of the horse. The animal finding he was allowed to do as he pleased, made a bolt, and the occupants becoming frightened, either jumped or fell from the vehicle. The horse did not go very far, as some one fortunately coming along Purcell-street turned the horse into a bank, where it came to a standstill. We are sorry to learn that several of the ladies received a shaking. Mrs J. R. McMillan received a severe knock in the face in falling from the buggy.
