The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a 101 b penalty. Nominations for all events, except Maiden Hack Raoe (first day), and Maiden Hack Hurdle Handicap and Electric Hack (second day), close with the Secretary at Foxton on THURSDAY, January 4th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Weights for first day's races will be declared on or about 12th January, 1900. Acceptances for firdt day's races close on TUESDAY, January 16th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Entries for Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Eleotric Hack (second day), and nominations for Maiden Hack Hurdle Handicap (second day), close on TUESDAY, January 16th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Weights for second day's races will be declared on Saturday, January 20th, 1900, at 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9 80 p.m. Definition qf a Hack.— A Hack means a horse that has not won a race of the value of 80 Bova, or raoeß of the collective value of 150 soya since Ist August, 1899, andhaa never won an advertised race exceeding the net sum or value o' 40 soys (Elac* aad Hunter iac> s exempted) Eve y en.ry must s-ta c the name, or assumed name of the owner or owners, and the name, age an > pedigree and descript on i of the hor&e, together with the colors of ihe rider.
