The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a 101 b penalty. Nominations for all events, except Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Maiden Hack Hurdle Handicap and Electric Hack (second day), close with the Secretary at Koxton on THURSDAY, January 4th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Weights for first day's races will be declared on or about 12th January, 1900. Acceptances for fir ;t day's races close on TUESDAY, January 16th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Entries for Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Eleotric Hack (second day), and nominations for Maiden Hack Hurdle Handicap (second day), close on TUESDAY, January 16th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Weights for second day's races will be declared on Saturday, January 20th, 1900, at 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9 30 p.m. Definition of a Hack.— A. Hack means a horse that has not won a race of the value of 80 boys, or racefl of the collective valne of 150 bovb since Ist August, 1899, and has never won outadvertised race exceeding the net sum or value oi 40 soys (Hack and Hunter raceß excepted). Every entry must sta c the name, or assumed name of the owner or owner?, and the name, age an* 1 pedigree and descript on of the horse, together wiih the colors of the rider. The advertised fee must in every case accompany nominations and acceptances. All races to be run under the "Rules of Racing." >'o betting allowed on the course, except through the medium of the totalisator. The Committee reserve the right to alter any of the above dates.
