The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs, and of every additional race 71bs extra, in all flat handicaps at the meeting. The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a 101 b penalty. Nominations for all events, except Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Maiden Haok Hurdle Handicap and Electric Hack (second day), olose with the Secretary at Foxton on THURSDAY, January 4th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Weights for first day's races will be declared on or about 12th January, 1900. Acceptances for first day's races close on TUESDAY, January 16th, 1900. at 9 p.m. Entries for Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Electric Hack (second day), and nominations for Maiden Hack Hurdle Handicap (second day), close on TUESDAY, January 16th, 1900, at 9 p.m. I Weights for second day's races will be declared on Saturday, January 20th, 1900, at 8 p.m. * Acceptances close same evening at 9 30 p.m. Definition of a Hack.— A. Hack means a i horse that has not won a race of the value of; 80 'soys, ot races of the collective value of 150 soys since Ist August, 1899, and has never won an advertised race exceeding the net snm or value of 40 soys (Hack and Hunter races excepted). Every entry must state the name, or assumed name of ,the owner or owners, and the name, age and pedigree and descript'on of the horse, together with the colors of the rider. The advertised fee must in every case accompany nominations and acceptances. All races to be run under tbe " Rules of Racing." No betting allowed on the course, except through the medium of the totalisator. The Committee reserve the right to alter any of the above dates. All stakes paid in full. . J. R. WHYTE, Seoretary.
