Yesterday nomination* coed fo •wndidatflß for the office of Mayor fo he coming year. There ws»b un fortunately very little interest taken ; n the matter, and only one person was nominated. The public, however, are to be congratulated on the fact that the only candidate was Mr W. B. Rhodes, as he has had some experience as a councillor and is very much interested in the advancement of the town. He is bo wellknown here fhafc his qualifications for the position do not need to r-e stated, but wp believe he will do His heat:, nnd no man can do more. His election is » p''nu'ar one.
