Anniversary Services.

The Primitive Methodist Sunday School celebrated its 23rd anniversary last Sunday when there were very good congregations. The Rev. Oliphant, from Taranaki, exchanged pulpits with the local minister for the occasion, I and the rev. gentleman gave his hearers a treat, it being some nine years since he was last here. The singing of the children was particularly good. On Monday evening the final meeting in connection with the above was held, when Mr T. Westwood occupied the chair. The Rev. Mr Oliphant gave an amusing address on the " Bicycle," and Mr Westwood, senr., also addressed the audience. It is understood that the collections in aid of the Sunday School were very satisfactory.
