The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs, and of every additional race 71bs extra, in all flat handicaps at the meet' ing. The winner of any hurdle race after deolaration of weights to carry a 101 b penalty. Nominations for all events, except Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Maiden Haok Hurdle Handicap and Electric Hack (second day), close with the Secretary at Foxton on THURSDAY, January 4th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Weights for first day's races will be declared on or about 12th January, 1900. Acceptances for fir-t day's races close on TUESDAY, January 16th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Entries for Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Electric Hack (-eound day), and nominations for Maiden Hack Hurdle Handicap (second day), clo^e on TUESDAY, January 16th, 1900, at 9 p.m. Weights for second day's races will be declared on Saturday, January 20th, 1900, at 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9 30 p.m. Definition of a Hack.- A Hack means a horse that has not won a race of the value of 80 boys, or races of the collective value of 150 soys since Ist August, 1899, and has never won an advertised race exceeding the net sum or value of 40 soys (Haok and Hunter races excepted) Every entry must sta'e the name, or assumed name of the owner or owners, and the name, age anr> pedigree and descript on of the horse, together wiih the colors of the rider. The advertised fee must in every case accompany nominations and acceptances. All raceg to be run nnder the "Ruleß of Racing."
