The Princess of Wales is organising a fund wherewith to provide a Red Cross ship in which to treat the British soldiers wounded on the South African battlefields.
Her Royal Highness is also personally spending £1000 in providing comforts for the troops. The Mansion House fund for the relief of refugees from the Transvaal now amounts to £103,000.
The War Office has issued an order directing that thirty-five militia battalions shall be embodied.
