OTAKI RACES. The second day's races of the Otaki Maori Racing Club's spring meeting, 'which had to be postponed from Thursday, were held on Saturday in fine weather. There was a limited attendance, not more that 400 'persons being present. There was a fair amount of speculation, and the sum of £1,946 was put through the machine, making a total of £5,505 for the two days and £698 more than the record for the corresponding meeting of last year. Following are the results :— Trial Handicap, of 25 soys. ; second horse, 5 soys. Seven furlongs. 42 Wonder, 7st iolb (Jenkins), 1 ; 42 Myra, Bst gib (Reed), 2 ; 36 Rimlock, Bst 81b (Carmont), 3. Also started— 93 Tui, 22 General Wolfe, 18 Inkerman. Won comfortably by two lengths and a half, the rest bunched togeiher. Time, imin. 36£ sec. Totalisator, 252 — dividend, £5 Bs.
