The winner of any flat race after the declaration of weights to carry 101b penalty ; of two or more such races 141b extra, in all handioap flat events at the meeting. Nominations olose on Saturday, Sept. 30th, at Post Office box 18, Otaki. Weights for the first day will be declared on or about Wednesday. October 4th. Acceptances for first day, and entries for the Maiden Plate, Maiden Hurdles, Bailway Plate and Baukawa Plate olose at Post Office box 18, Otaki, at 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 7th. Weights for the second day will be declared at S p.m. on October lllb, and acceptances at 9 o'clock the same evening. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the date of receiving nominations, declaration of weights, or acceptances, as they may deem fit, subject to the approval of the Metropplitan Club. Hack means a horse that has never won an advertised race exceeding 40 sovs in value (hack or hunter racas excepted), or is not engaged in other than hack or hunter events at time of entry or at time of starting.
