The winner ot any flat race after the declaration of weights to carry 101 b penalty ; of two or more such races 141 b extra, in all handicap flat events at the meeting. Nominations close on Saturday, Sept. 30th, at Post Office box 18, Otaki. Weights for the first day will be declared on or about Wednesday, October 4th. Acceptances for first day, and entries for the Maiden Plate, Maiden Hurdles, Bailway Plate and Baukawa Plate close at Post Office box 18, Otaki, at 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 7th. Weights for the second day will be declared at I p.m. on October 11th, and acceptances at 9 o'clock the same evening. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the date of receiving nominations, declaration of weights, or acceptances, as they may deem fit, subjsct to the approval of the Metropolitan Club. Hack means a horse that has never won an advertised race exceeding 40 aovs in value (hack or hunter racss excepted), or ig not engaged in other than back or hunter events at time of entry or at time of starting.
