OTAKI MAORI RACING CLUB
The first day's races were held yesterday, in fine weather. There was a large attendance, and the course was in good order. Following are the results : —
Maiden Plate, of 25 soys ; three quarters of a mile.— Mr T. Wankyn's M>ra, 93t, 1 ; Mr D. Fraser's Kawana, 9at 21b, 2 ; Mr S. Fisher's Wonder, 9-fc, 8. Also started[ukerman, Morning, Royalty, Su~ ,ior, General Wolffe and The Out cast. Time, lmin 20 1 sth bp.c. Dividend, £17 9s. Myia jumped off with a lead, and was never headed, winning by a length, a neck separating second and third horses
