The winner of any flat race after the declaration of weights to carry 10 b penalty ; of two or more such races 141 b extra, in all handicap flat events at the meeting. Nominations close on Saturday, Sept. 30th, at Post Office box 18, Otaki. Weights for the first day will be declared on or about Wednesday, October 4th. Acceptances for first day, and entries for the Maiden Pla c, Maiden Hurdles, Railway Plate and Raukawa Plate close at Pust Office box 18, Otaki, at 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 7th. Weights for the second day will be declared at 8 p.m. on Octob.r llih, and acceptances at 9 o'clock the same evening. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the date of receiving nominations, declaration of weights, or acceptances, as they may deem lit, subject to the approval of he Metropolitan Club. Hack mean a a horse that has never won an advertised race exceeding 40 soys in value (hack or hunter racss excepted), or is not engaged in other than hack or I hunter events at time of entry or at time of starting.
