Is Woman Superior to Man.
I' is a debatable question whether, in the hour 3 of affliction or adversity, woman exhibits more fortitude than man. As is somewhat natural the partisans of either sex will not hear anything to their disadvantage from the opposite. Almost numberless instances could be given of the heroic fortitude displayed by boh men and women in hours of suffering or danger. But one will suffice, and it is that of Mrs Susan Shute, of 351 Fitzroystreet, Fitzroy, Me bourne, who, before she took Bile Beans for Biliousness, had born the most acute pains of rheumatism with a resignation that men would be well to imitate. This is her story as related to a reporter of the Melbourne Mercury: — For four years I suffered so severely from rheumatism that frequent 1 y I was scarcely able to move. I could not do my honsework, and as I am advancing in years the doctor told me that I was incurable as my kidneys were in a bad way. This almost broke me down, and I gave up medical attendance. For several months past my neighbours have been taking Bile Beans and greatly benefiting thereby. This caused me to look to them for relief, and I accordingly commenced to take them. | After a short course I felt better, and con- ! tinued with them, and the resu't was that in six weeks time the rheumatism entirely left me much to my astonishment. J now feel thoroughly well and free from pain, and look on life as worth living. For influenza, colds and rheumatism, and all ailments such as imdigestion, constipation, headaches, etc,, you cannot obtain a better or surer remedy than Bi'e Beans which are sold by chemists and storekeepers at thirteen pence half-penny per box. After reading Mrs Shute's story of suffering surely we must admit that men are not superior to women when it becomes a question of enduring pain with" fortitude.
