The Mayor said that the meeting bad been called for the purpose of considering the advisability of making a special order relating to tyres, and also the appointment of a Fire Inspector. He thought it would be wise to postpone these matters until the next monthly meeting, and the members just elected, with the councillor to be elected could then in the meantime become con persant in these questions and vote accordingly. He thought they were of such importance that it would be as well to have a full meeting. Crs Jenks and Austin both thought the matters mentioned should be considered at a full meeting. Cr Baker also said they should not deal with it haphazardly.
