Disaster to a Frenoh Expedition

A French expedition which was making its way from Algeria to Lake Tchad, in the Soudan, has been annihilated by an immense body of Tuaregs. M, F. For the protection of the expedition there was a military column, which was in charge of Colonel Lamy. The expedition was in the vicinity of Agades, the capital of the oasis-king-dom of Air and Asben, when the massacre occurred. 2 ?* During the fighting the French, before they were overcome, inflicted terrible losses on the Taaregs.
