The following are the official quotations of the Frozen Meat Trade Association. The basis of quotation is the sale of a line of not lesa thin 100 carcases of mutton or lamb. All the quotations are for fair average quality. Quotations for New Zea land lamb do not include small lambs or heavies of inferior quality: - New Zealand crossbred wdthfrs and maiden ewes :— Canterbury, £-1 lower at 8 9 161 per 1b ; Dunedin and Southland, MGd lower, at 3d ; Northlsland, 1-161 lower at 2£l. River Plate crossbred or merino wethers not quoted. Prime Canterbury, £i lower at 4|d per lb ; fair average (including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington and secondary Canterbury), 1-I6d lower, at 4 9-16 d.
The cargo of Victorian wheat ex ftordlyst has been sold at 28 i lO&d per quarter o.i.f.
The hemp market is hardening, and a large amount of business -is doing. Good Wellington is quoted at £26 per ton c.i.f.
