Three of the automatics telephones embodying Dr Clendennin's patent have been constructed by the Victorian Post and Telegraph Department (says the "Argus "), and will be placed one at each end of the metropolitan railway station?, in positions where they will be accessible to the public on week days and Sundays during railway hours. As the telephones are self-acting, they will cause no inconvenience beyond occupying a certain amount of space and the Department will not, there fare, remunerate the business people who receive them.
