The Synod.
The following resolutions, embody ing the main proposals contained in the report of the finance committee, were adopted as amended : —1. Thai the standing committee ba em powered to revi3e and re arrange tbtasgeesmeuts and appropriations for the parochial districts of Manakau, Fozton-Sbannon, L^vin, and Balls Sandon-Rongotea, and Greatford, in the event of any alteration being tnade in the boundaries of all or any of these districts. 2 That th" Biehop and the secretary of the general church fund be respectfully requeued to arrange for deputationto hold meetings in all parishes and districts for the purpose of considering information with reference to th general church fund, and to furtbfe. spread (hat information by raaan^ of printed circulars and any othei m^ans they may daem fit. 8. Thai an extra special offortory for the general church fnnd be collected in every pariah and parochial distric throughout the diocese, at a time t be fix-d by the standing committee; provided, however, that the standing CDmmittee may dispense with su^h extra offertory should it consider that the condition and prospects of thf fund render the sara; unoecassary.
