Foxton Amateur Dramatic Club.
There was a moderate attendance at the annual meeting of the above Club last night at the Public Hall. Mr Purcell was voted to the chair. The Report and Balance-sheet was read by the hon. sec, and they were adopted. The report showed that during the past iz months the Club had given 4 performances, one of which was- at Levin. The financial result showed a debit balance of 17a 6d, and the assets of the Club are a set of scenery, valued at £4, and grease paint, &c, valued at 7s 6d. Then tollowed the election of offi^j cers:— -President: F. Robinson, (reelected); Vice-Presidents : W. Robinson,- E. S. Thynne,' W. McDermott, and W. S. Stewart ; Committee : Mrs Stewart andMhe Misses H. Collins and L. McKenna, and Messr* W. McDermott, Mitchell, Betty and T. JJ. Cook : Hon. Sec. and Treas. : WL Purcell; Stage Manager: Alf. Fraser; Cast Committee: Mrs Stewart and Messrs Alf. Fraser and Mitchell.
