Rioting in India.
Serious caste riots hnve occurred among the Hindus of »,he Tinneveli district, in the Midra9 Presidency. An area of m ire than 100 equan miles has been affected, within which villages have baen pillaged and burned. - • In some places the rioters not only fought each other but alsr attacked the Sepoys sent by the Go vernment to restrain then. Order is now being restored.
