The Ohau.
This eteamer is given up as . lost and a Government; officer who was at Cape Campbell during the recent gale, and who returned to Wellington at the end of last week, confirm the reports already published as to bad time Ihe Ohau was hiving ap dhe came up to the Capa on tba' rerrible Saturday evening. The lighthouse staff informed him tha' ■he sea was worse than in the Easter storm of two years ago. As the Ohau foughj; her way slowly in the teeth of the gale, she was eeen to •hip a lot of water. Some of the seas appeared to go as high as her funnel. Very powerful glasses are mounted at Gape Oambell, and the staff wafohed the vessel .keenly as long as it was light, in the expectation that she would signal to be re ported. Their worst fears were aroused when subsequently they could not pick up her lights.
