The Sydney " Evening News " of 20tb M t<y has the following report of the tiering of the Whangaroa with the disabled steamer Perthshire: -" Upon Captain Ooz'n?, mister of the schooner Whungaroa, | which arrived this morning from Fux'.on, New Z jaland, stepping as. hore, be announced itn welcome news that he had sighted and spoken to the captain of the ovordue steamer Perthshire on hid pissage acrosn. The vessel was in a disabled condition, with her tail shaft carried away, parfeotly helplesv, and requiring immediate assistance.
