CAMPERDOWN.

The A.rgu3 of May 6th reports : — The weather was showery and cold, but despite this there was a large attendance, amongst those present being a party from Government House. Despite ths recant heavy rain, the ground was in fair condi sion, somawhat heavy, but not slippery. Camperdown — Messrs J. 0. Manifold, W. T. Manifjld. E. Manifold, and L. G. McArthur. Mr John Strang, one of the New Zmlanders, who has taken part in previous games in Victoria, was unable to play through illness. His place was filled by his brother Walter, who proved a capable substitute, playing a dashing gams At the outset Cain perd own had the advantage of a strong wind blowing towards the eastern goal. . . .. The score at half-tiim was: — CimDerdown, 6 goal*; Nrfw Zealand, 2 goal.*. . . . . . In the final section the visitors made a desperate rally, and by sheer dash on the pirt of A Strang, W. Strang, and Biker bore d )wn Camperdfown'd define, and idded another goal to their score. The New Zialunders miintained heir advantage, and a good run by Robinson resu't»d in a fourth goal. Baker had another fall, but again esoaped unhurt. Cimperdown agun held their own, and there, were no ftlrther additions to the scores, which at the conclusion were — Cimper down, 8 goals 10 behindd ; New Z >ahnd, 4 goals 12 behind*.
