NOTICE TO MAKE RETURNS OF INCOME UNDER "THE LAND AND INCOME ASSESSMENT ACT, 1891," AND ITS AMENDMENTS. Land and Income Tax Department, Wellington, 9th May, 1899. NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the abotro Act and the regulations made thereunder, every person and company, within the meaning of the said Act, having derived inoome during the year ending 81st March, 1899, from and source or by any means which is made the subject of taxation under the said Act is hereby rfquired to duly make and furnish to me, in the persoribed form, returns of such income on or before the Ist July, 1899. And, further, notice is hereby given that such returns shall in all caees be delivered at or forwarded to j the office of the Commissioner of ! Taxes, in the Government Buildings, at Wellington. Note - Persons who have not received forms of return from this office may obtain them at any Postal Money order Office, and any who have in previous years been permitted to make returns as at a date other than the 81st March will, pro. vided returns are furnished promptly after date of balance, be allowed the same concession this year without special request. I, or my representative, will be on the ground during the whole of the shooting season fjr the purpose of issuing permits, and I take this opportunity of notifying the public, that anyone found on the said Lake without permit will be prosecuted with the utmost rigour of the Law. I have appointed Mr John Adams, Licensed Native Interpreter of Marton, my agent, whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge, and who has my authori y for the issue of permits.
