The cricket match South of England v. Australians was begun at the Crystal Palace grounds on Tuesday.
The weather was bright and sunny, and the wicket fast. Alterainns in both teams were made at he last moment. Hearne was unable to play for South of. England, and Bnckwell was put in his Ftead. The first wicket fell for 11 runs md the second for 20. Brook well was nearly taken by Trumble in the slip s'.5 '. McL°od took up the bowling it 43 and Trumble at 55, Jonee ?oing on again at 69 at other end. Fry played a brilliant innings. The S3venth wicket fell far 166 run', the eighth for 191, and the ninth for 207. Fry, who wa3 ultimately
