» PATY DE CLAM'S EVIDENCE.
The inquiry into the Dreyfus affair is still proceeding. Dv Paty de Clam, in his depositions throws the responsibility of his methods in connection with the Dreyfus ir4f " quiry upon MM. Bertillon, Conchefert and the late Colonel Sandherr. He describes a spy named de Crion as being head of a manufactory for forgeries, and in Colonel Henry's service. i General Gonse. de Clam states, shielded Esterhazy. According to this witness, the General declared "Esterhazy must be saved at all costs, in order to prevent diplomatic^ difficulties and war." |; Generals Boisdeffre and Gfcmse authority the sending of threatening letters to the late President, M. Felix Faure. When Dv Paty de Clam tried to inform M. Cavignac of his suspicions of Colonel Henry's forgery, M. Cavaignac replied, " Mind your business." M. Mercier sacrificed Colonel Henry hence the latter's suicide ; and General Boisdeffre sacrificed de Clam. ■
