Householders' Meeting at Moutoa.
♦ The meeting of householders was well attended last night. :-.-.Mr Ashby was appointed Chairman. The Commissioner (Mr A. Saunders) gave the report for last year, which was very satisfactory,. The scholars have increased to such an extent that it : taxes the schoolroom to its utmost to accommodate them, there being now over 40 attending. The school and' outbuildings have been repaired and painted, giving as the Inspector termed ,it, a spick and span appearance. The school funds show a balance in hand of over four pounds. Mr Saunders received a vote of thanks for the able manner in which he had conducted the business of the school. A ballot was then taken, when the following seven were elected a Committee for the ensuing year : — Messrs C. F. Carter, J. Morgan, J. A. Smith, T. Bowe, E. Pigott, J. French, J. Walden." ■: Mr J. French was elected Chairman, and Mr C. F. Carter, Secretary.
