Continuous light rain fell on Tuesday night, but a change of wind yesterday morning improved matters, and promises to keep fine. There was a good attendance. First Hurdles, of 100 soys, two miles and a distance. — Splinter, 1 ; Pokomoko, 2; Dummy, 3. Won by a length and a halt. Time, 4min. Dividend, £3 17s. First Hack Hurdles, \\ miles. — Whangaroa, 1 ; Watershot, 2 ; First Result, 3. Won easily. Time, 2min 53 2-sth sec. Dividend, £2 3s. Wanganui Cup, of 600 soys; one mile and three-quarters. - Douglas, 1 ; Explosion, 2; Battleaxe, 3. Time, 3min 5 i-sth sec. Dividend, £4 15s. Wanganui Two-year-old Stakes, of 150 soys; six furlongs.— Rcsella, 1; Hastings, 2. The only starters. Won all the way. Time, imin 19 i-sth sec. Dividend, £1 16?.
