A private cable message received in Wellington on Thursday fixes the London price of New Zealand hemp lit £18 per ton c.i.f. early shipment. This bears out remarks in Tuesday's? issue. The price now quoted shows an advance of 10a per ton, and it. ja possible the market may harden fof . Millers have assumed that the quotation cabled to the press, v'tZ ', £22 per ton, was correct, and have been endeavouring during th> p&sfc two days to make sates on this basis, but without puccess.— N.Z.
