A Valuable Estate.

SALE OF MR. R. GARDNER'S PAIAKA PROPERTY. In another column appears an advertisement relating to the sale by auction of the well-known Paiaka estate and the property of Robert Gardner, Esq. Mr Gardner hassfound that the disposal of this valuable property is necessary, as he finds it interferes with his duties as Inspector for the Advances to Settlers' Department. The property is only two miles from the Kereru Railway Station, is well improved, and comprises 906 acreftrof rich land. A great part has been laid down with the best English grasses, the balance being drained flax swamp land, with the exception of 100 acres of bush, and is subdivided into twelve paddocks. The buildings comprise the dwelling house with all conveniences, besides other houses for men working on the estate, dairy, storeroom, &c. A flaxmill in full working order, replete with everything necessary and up-to-date, is also included in the property for sale, with scutching-shed, store, &c. The orchard is also well stocked with fruit-bearing trees. A part of the property offered is high terrace-land, and is generally used for placing stock in time of flood. Paiaka is also reached by road from Foxton, and the river steamers pass the homestead every other day. There is also sufficient flax on the estate to keep a mill going for a number of years. Full particulars may be obtained on application to Messrs Abraham and Williams. The sale is fixed for Saturday, March 4th, at the sale-rooms of the auctioneers at ip.m.
