The Gardener and the Reporter.

_ *_ Gardeners have troubles as well as those in lesser and higher spheres. Bearing this in mind, a reporter from the Otaki Mail, at the bidding of his editor, had a chat with Mr Evan Evans, who is engaged by Percy Bates, Esq., of Te Horo, as gardener and milker. The following conversation ensued : — "I am 55," said Mr Evans, " and for 30 years I have had rheumatism. Now, however, Dr Williams' Pink Pills have completely cured me. In July last I was taken ill with rheumatic sciatica. The pains commenced in the left hip joint, and spread right down the leg to the foot. At night the pain seemed much worse, and I •felt as if I w^re being flayed alive, and thought that I should go mad. I could obtain scarcely any sleep, but lay in bed moaning and crying in agony. Dv ing the first week I was afflicted I had to give up all work, and for some time after this was hardly fit for anything. I tried several ointments, liniments and plasters, but although I fancied they did me a little temporary good, I was soon even worse than before. I grew so bad that I contemplated a trip to the hot springs at Rotorua, being of opinion that was my , t only chance ot recovery, having little faith in doctors. But I was in' such a bad condition that I thought I could not stand the journey. It was after I had been afflicted some three weeks— which seemed an age back— that I saw a pamphlet which a friend had received, and read of a case which exactly corresponded with my own, and which had been cured by Dr Wi Hams' Pink Pills. I had often seen these pil's advertised iv the Otaki Mail and other papers, and when I read of this case, I ] sent to Wellington for six boxes of the pills, and commenced taking them in strict j accordance with the instructions. When I j had finished lin fourth box I noticed a j marked improvement, and after taking the < lot I got ano her tix boxe?. When these ' were gone I wa3 almost well again, but I ' procured six boxes more, and took these j a'BO. I have no hesitation whatever in saying that Dr Williams' Pink Pills pesi- : tively cured me of the most acute rheu- I matio sciatica which it is possible for a ' man to experience. "I?. is now some six • months sinca I took the pills, and I have never felt the pains since. Indeed, I feel better now *han I did before I was taken ill. I omitted to mention that I also had ' partial paralysis in my lef foot for some years previous to takiog Dr Williams' Pink Pil s, bnt am pleased to say that th s also is quite better. Indeed, ray case has been a most complicated one, but thanks to this wonderful remedy, I am once more able to enjoy life. My health is better altogether, and my appe ite has much improved. I sincerely trust all other sufferers wi'l Ivy Dr Williams' Pink Pills on my recommendation." This is real good news for all sufferers. If you are afflicted with anaemia, weak heart, sleeplessness, rheumatism, sciatica, neuralgia, coughs and colds, scrofula, consumption, chronic erysipelas, debility, indigestion, liver and kidney diseases, chest and lung trouble?, paralysis, locomotor ataxia, St. Vitus' dance, or nervous headache, your cure is at hand. Dr Williams' Pink Pills are sold by chemists and storekeepers, and by the Dr Williams Medicine Company, Wei ington, N.Z., at 3s a box, or six for 16s 6d, but are genuine only with the full name, Dr Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People, on each box.
