COXTON BOROUGH COUNCIL. Special Order. Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Foxton Borough Council, held on Tuesday, the 17th day of January, 1899, it waa resolved : — That it is the intention of the Foxton Borough Council, by virtue of the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886, and by virture of Warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, in term of Section 118 of the Public Works Act, 1894, dated 14th day of November 1898, authorising the Construction of a Traffic Bridge over the Manawatu River at Wirokino, at the place where the Main road from the Township of Levin to the Borough of Foxton crosses the said river, and apportioning the cost of such work, to Borrow the Sum of One Thousand Pounds Sterling (£1000) under the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886, for the purpose of providing proportion of the cost of constructing the said Bridge, and expenses in connection therewith. And that a Special Rate of two and one-ninth (2 1.9 d) in the £ be made and levied on the rateable value of all the rateable property (Crown and Native lands excepted) within the Borough of Foxton, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on the said loan of £1000 ; such rate to be an annual recurring one for a period of twenty-six years, payable in one sum at the Borough Offices, Foxton, on the first day of June in each year. And it is hereby notified that a Special Meeting will be held on Friday, the 17th day of February, 1899, to confirm the above resolution ; the above Special Order to take effoct on the 18th day of February, 1899.
