A settler at Toowoomba states that Burgess came to his house for food, and told him that two women and a man was shot. This statement was '' made before it was known that the j murders had been committed. I Burgess has admitted to the police that he camped on the night of the murder close to a waterhole where the dtfcovery was made. His movements up to the time of his arrest are feeing
