THE POLICE HOPEFUL. Wilson, who was arrested at Albany, was formerly teacher at the Warnambool College at Adelaide and at Broken Hill he acted as lay reader and Sunday School teacher in several churches. A few days ago he wrote to two clergymen, with whom he was formerly connected, from Melbourne, asking for money as he urgently needed to go to Adelaide. A heavy fall of rain has further interfered with the police operations al ' Gatton. ! The police have imformed the press representatives that things in connec* : tion with the case are more hopeful j j than at any time during the invest!- i gation. They expect very shortly to j give important information. . ! ■ |
