FOXTON RACING CLUB.
The following weights have been declared by {he handicapper, Mr J. E. Henry, for the above Club's Summer Meeting : —
Acceptances for the first day's races and entries for Maiden Hack Race (first day), and nominations for Trial Hack Handicap (second day), close on Monday, January 16th, 1899, at 9 P-m« The Otaki Maori Brass Band has* been engaged by the Foxton Racial Club for their Summer meeting. || Trains from Woodville and Fielding will run to connect with train from Palmerston on both race days, so that a larger attendance from these towns may be looked for. The privilleges in connection with the above Club's summer meeting will be sold by auction on Saturday next 14th instant, the auctioneer being Mr A. E. T. Nixon, of the firm of Liffitou and Nixon, Wanganui. That there is likely to be some keen cpmnfeition goes without saying. The Club's privileges have hitherto always sold well, but this year we believe they will constitute a record as the nomination of horses for the meeting are good.
