The Minister of Land goes Home.
The Wellington Tinies states authoii atiyely that the Hon. John McKei z \ w^ile retaining his posi tion in he Cabinet, will for r time relin^rTi the duties of bis office, in order to pay a visit to his native land. When Mr McKenzie returned to We!l ngtdp a short tinie ago, he wa3 $v> :?ed by his niedical adviser that i: was absolutely necessary he should ake complete rest from all public lusiness. The Premier was, of course, very much averse to losing his old colleague, and, with the general Concurrence of the other members of the Cabinet, suggested that in lieu of retiring, Mr McKenzie should try a sea voyage and visit the Mother Country. Mr McKenaie has intimated to the Premier that he will try the trip Home and see what the rest<and change will do towards restoring his impaired constitution, and on his return all will depend upon the state of his health as to his future public career. If we are to judge from indications, there are likely to be changes in the Ministry prior to next session.
