The Railway "Revenue.
A BIG SURPLUS EXPECTED. The accounts of the Railway Department have been made up to the 1 2th of last month, and show that the receipts between the beginning of the financial year (Ist April) and the date mentioned exceeded those for the corresponding period of last year by £52,000. If the passenger traffic during the holidays and the traffic from the harvest in the South come up to expectations, the Department believes that it will be able to show a most satisfactory result of the year's working.—Post.
