The Viceroys of Tonkin and Hankow have assured Lord Charles Beresford — who is paying a visit to the East at the instance of the London Chamber of Commerce— of their friendly feelingß towards Great Britain. They promised to urge the authorities at Pckin to invite high British officers to reorganise the army.
