4_ i ■ i. A meetfng of the Committee of the Foxtoo Racing Club was held last evening. Present — Messrs Rhodes (chair), Gray, Overend. Howan, Purcell, Robinson, Border and the Secretary. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed, and inward correspondence was read. It was resolved tbat the Secretary write to the District Engineer, N Z Railway**, Wanganui, asking for a fuller explanation of the cost of erecting gates giving access to the course. The Seoretary was requested to mako the same train arrangements as last year, also to enquire on what terms a special would be run from Woodville on both race days. It was decided to let the right of cutting the grass on the race-course by tender.
